FAILURE TO MAINTAIN FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (Proof of Insurance)

If sufficient proof of a valid insurance policy on the date and time of your citation being issued is provided to the court before your appearance date listed on the citation, and after verification from the insurance company, the violation may be dismissed. All insurance documents will be verified for validity on the day and time of the alleged violation.

If your case is not granted a compliance dismissal, the regular fine will be due in the amount of $306.00 for first time offenders, and $446.00 for subsequent convictions.

EXPIRED REGISTRATION

If you received a citation for an vehicle expired registration, you must appear at the Municipal Court on or before the appearance date listed on your citation. You may present proof of correction of the defect, pay an administrative fine of $20 and the citation may be dismissed.

Note: The expired registration proof of renewal must include a 20% penalty paid to the Department of Motor Vehicles when the registration was renewed. If the penalty is not paid, the court cannot dismiss the citation.

If your case is not granted a compliance dismissal, the regular fine will be due in the amount of $131.00.

EXPIRED DRIVER'S LICENSE

If you received a citation for expired driver's license, you must appear at the Municipal Court on or before the appearance date listed on your citation. You may present proof of correction of the defect, pay an administrative fine of $20 and the citation may be dismissed.

If your case is not granted a compliance dismissal, the regular fine will be due in the amount of $156.00

FAIL TO CHANGE NAME OR ADDRESS ON DRIVER'S LICENSE

If you received a citation for failing to change your name or address on your driver's license, you must appear at the Municipal Court on or before the appearance date listed on your citation. You may present proof of correction of the defect, pay an administrative fine of $20 and the citation may be dismissed.

If your case is not granted a compliance dismissal, the regular fine will be due in the amount of $181.00

FAILURE TO DISPLAY DRIVER'S LICENSE

If you received a citation for failing to display your driver's license, you must appear at the Municipal Court on or before the appearance date listed on your citation. You may present proof that your driver's license was valid on the date the citation was issued and the violation may be dismissed. 

If your case is not granted a compliance dismissal, the regular fine will be due in the amount of $131.00

VIOLATION OF DRIVER'S LICENSE RESTRICTION A 

If you received a citation for violation of driver license restriction A, you must appear at the Municipal Court on or before your appearance date. You may present proof of correction of the defect on or before your appearance date, pay an administrative fine of $10 and the citation may be dismissed.

If your case is not granted a compliance dismissal, the regular fine will be due in the amount of $156.00

VIOLATION FOR ONLY DISPLAYING ONE LICENSE PLATE

 If you received a citation for displaying only one license plate, you must appear at the Municipal Court on or before your appearance date. You must present proof of correction of the defect on or before your appearance date, pay an administrative fine of $10 and the citation may be dismissed.

If your case is not granted a compliance dismissal, the regular fine will be due in the amount of $181.00

VIOLATION FOR NO REGISTRATION (INSIGNIA ISSUED BEFORE CITATION)

If you received a citation for no registration (insignia issued before citation), you must appear at the Municipal Court on or before your appearance date. You may present proof of correction of the defect on or before your appearance date, pay an administrative fine of $10 and the citation may be dismissed.

If your case is not granted a compliance dismissal, the regular fine will be due in the amount of $131.00
